Cold start by design
A social sports app with no users nearby is useless, so the product was scoped around dense local pockets rather than broad launch. Depth in one area beats thin coverage everywhere.

Jimbo helps people find others to play sport with. Not a fixtures app and not a league manager, a way to fill the gap between wanting a game and having enough people to play one.
We owned the product from concept through to a live application, leading a team of three developers through delivery.

A social sports app with no users nearby is useless, so the product was scoped around dense local pockets rather than broad launch. Depth in one area beats thin coverage everywhere.

Finding players is easy. Getting them to turn up is the real product problem. Sessions were designed with explicit commitment states and visible attendance so organisers know what they actually have.

Three developers, one product owner, a defined scope and a shipped application. Scope discipline is what makes small teams fast, and every feature had to justify its place against launch.
