Overview

KompiPay · Fintech

KompiPay lets creators and small operators accept payments without a storefront, a checkout build or a developer. A payment surface that can be created in minutes and shared as a link.

We designed and built the product surface, the onboarding path and the payment flows, covering the parts of a fintech product where trust is either earned or lost.

Onboarding is the product

In payments, most users are lost before they take a single transaction. Verification, bank details and compliance steps arrive early and feel like risk rather than progress.

We sequenced onboarding so the user reaches something real, a working payment surface, before they are asked for anything sensitive.

Designing for money movement

Payment states are unforgiving. Pending, succeeded, failed, refunded and disputed all have to be visible, explained and recoverable, because ambiguity in a money product is read as loss.

Every state has a plain language explanation and a next action attached to it.

Interface as trust signal

Restraint, hierarchy and precise typography do more for conversion in a financial product than any persuasion pattern. Users decide whether to trust a payment surface in the first few seconds.

The visual system was built to read as credible infrastructure rather than a consumer app.

Outcome

KompiPay shipped as a live product covering onboarding, payment creation, checkout and dashboard, with the commercial surfaces designed alongside the build rather than after it.
