For many product-led mobile applications, maintaining two completely separate Swift and Kotlin codebases adds cost and operational complexity without creating equivalent product value.
React Native lets the core product logic and interface share a codebase across iOS and Android while still accessing native device functionality where needed.
If a product genuinely needs dedicated native engineering, the architecture should be chosen for that reason. We do not force a technology choice simply because it is the default.
