Mobile App Development

We build native apps
from scratch,
the way we built ours.

Real native iOS and Android apps, engineered on React Native, delivered fixed-price and owned by you. Not a website in an app shell, not a no-code build — proper native software. We shipped our own iOS app, Loopa, so we build yours from experience, not theory.

What we build

Native apps that feel
native, on both platforms.

One codebase, two stores, genuinely native feel. We build mobile apps that hold up next to anything else on the home screen.

01

iOS & Android

One React Native codebase producing both, in sync, native feel throughout.

02

Real native feel

Smooth, fast, and at home on the platform — not a wrapped website.

03

Push & notifications

The layer that turns an install into an app people actually reopen.

04

Store submission

App Store and Play Store approval handled, so launch is not held up.

05

Owned by you

The full codebase and both store listings, no app-builder lock-in.

The approach

One codebase, two native apps — the pragmatic choice

We build native mobile apps with React Native and Expo, and we do it deliberately, not as a shortcut. A single codebase produces both iOS and Android as genuinely native apps — native performance, native feel — which roughly halves the cost of two separate builds and keeps both platforms perfectly in sync as you ship updates. For the overwhelming majority of founder products, this is simply the right engineering decision.

The old objection was that React Native was not really native. For the apps most founders are building, that has not been true for years, and we know it firsthand because we built our own iOS app, Loopa, this way. The rare exceptions that genuinely need fully native are heavy games and apps pushing the hardware to its limits — and if you are building one of those, we will tell you. Most products are not, and paying for two native codebases when one will do is money that should go into the product instead.

So the approach is pragmatic by design: native quality, both platforms, one codebase, delivered faster and for less, without the compromise the reputation suggests.

The real challenge

The hard part is getting people to open it twice

Building a mobile app is not really the hard part anymore. The hard part is building one people come back to. The graveyard of mobile apps is full of well-made products that got installed, opened once or twice, and then sat forgotten behind a folder on the third home screen. A native app that nobody reopens is worse than a web page nobody bookmarks, because it cost more to build.

So we design mobile apps around the reopen, not just the install. Push notifications that are genuinely useful rather than annoying. A first session that delivers value fast enough to earn a second. Flows tuned for the reality of mobile — short bursts of attention, one thumb, on the move. These are product and design decisions as much as engineering ones, and they are where a mobile app succeeds or quietly dies.

This is the difference between a mobile app as a checkbox and a mobile app as a habit. We build for the second, because the first is just an expensive way to be ignored.

Proof

We built and shipped our own iOS app: Loopa

The clearest thing we can tell you about mobile app development is that we have shipped one of our own. Loopa is a premium iOS app we built from scratch, end to end, on a modern React Native and Expo stack: a real, polished, shipped native product, not a prototype or a demo reel.

Building it meant making every real decision native app development involves — architecture, navigation, performance, native feel, and getting through App Store review — with our own product on the line. We have hit the actual problems of shipping a native app and solved them, which is why we can build yours from experience rather than working them out on your budget.

We also build and run web platforms like sellyourboat.io, a Wall & Fifth venture marketplace with over 12,000 listings. Between our own iOS app and our own platform, shipping real software is simply what we do.

The build

React Native, both stores, owned outright

Under every mobile app we build is a real production setup: React Native and Expo for the app, TypeScript and PostgreSQL for the backend, deployed properly. It is the exact stack we used for our own iOS app, chosen because it genuinely works, not because it is the cheapest way to say yes.

We build to a fixed price. From 16,000 GBP for a focused mobile app MVP on one platform, from 30,000 GBP for a larger build across both stores with richer features, push, and integrations. We handle App Store and Play Store submission. Third-party usage — push infrastructure, payments — is passed through at cost, never marked up.

And you own all of it: the full React Native codebase, the backend, and both store listings, handed over on delivery. No app-builder platform you keep paying, no licensing, no lock-in. Yours to run and ship updates to, with us or any team you choose.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Yes. Cross-platform with React Native and Expo, so one codebase produces genuinely native iOS and Android apps — far cheaper than two separate builds, without compromise. For a focused first launch we often ship one platform first, then add the second, and we handle store submission either way.

For the vast majority of apps, yes — it is what we used to build our own iOS app, Loopa. It produces real native apps with native performance and feel from one codebase, halving cost and keeping both platforms in sync. The rare cases that truly need fully native are heavy games or hardware-pushing apps; most founder products are not those.

From £16,000 for a focused mobile app MVP on one platform, from £30,000 for a larger build across both with richer features, push, and integrations. Both fixed price, and you own the full codebase and store listings. Third-party usage (push, payments) is passed through at cost.

Yes. Getting an app approved and live on both stores is part of the build. App store review has its own rules and quirks, and we deal with them so your launch is not held up by an avoidable rejection.

Yes. Loopa is a premium iOS app we built from scratch, end to end, on React Native and Expo — a real, polished, shipped native product. We made the actual decisions of native development on our own app: performance, navigation, native feel, store submission.

Completely. The full React Native codebase, the backend, and both store listings, handed over on delivery. No licensing, no lock-in, no app-builder you keep paying. Yours to run and ship updates to with us or any team you choose.
